Fun with Adobe Elements 9

I've been editing an picture for a website I maintain.  After improving the colours, lighting and shadows I decided to experiment with the different effects available in Elements 9. 

This particular effect is called Cutout, and I really the changes made to this picture.

It makes me wish I could spend more time editing pictures.

Heated Cat beds
Winter 2010 is fast approaching, and this year Toby had an early Christmas present.

Toby (our loveable rogue) is an outdoors cat, and last year when it snowed it he stayed inside the house with us.  Much to our delight, for the next 4-6 weeks he preceded to wake us up between midnight and 2am with a little routine.  It would start off with him yowling, followed by either scratching at the bedroom door (if closed) or face licking (if door open).

As we didn't want a repeat of it this year, we needed to find some way that Toby could sleep outside during the winter nights.

Hopefully this year we won't have any disturbed nights as he'll be outside where he wants to be.
